Drummer in Question

Thanks to T-Bo, I am listening to some dandy CD's...The Liquid Tension Experiemnt 2 is killer, BUT...on the G-3 CD, Eric Johnson's drummer is incredibly tasty...especially on the tune, ZAP. Great drum sound as well. In fact, most of the guys on this CD maintained their signature studio sound LIVE.

WHO is he? Is it Tommy Taylor, the same guy who played on Christopher Cross' Sailing LP?

The drummer with E Johnson.. if it was a black guy it was Brannen Temple. Fantastic drummer..
was on the Madonna gig, but got fired for "shooting his mouth off".. Little John.. replaced him.
He has a deal with Fibes drums.. if you happen to remember the kit he was playing.

Wow, that's interesting...Taylor, the 1 who's on Eric's great release "Ah Via Musicom," was also the drummer on "Sailing?"...wasn't aware of that...
The live G3 vid w/ EJ, Satch, & Vai has some other drummer w EJ whose name escapes me...& i saw him last yr w yet another guy fr the Austin area [whose name also escapes me now]....

Yeah, it's Brannen Temple. Satriani's drummer is Jeff Campitelli, and Vai's is Mike Mangini.
